PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Art Mine is a young multicultural NGO based in Austria serving the public interest and common good. We promote art, culture, cultural diversity, interculturality and intercultural dialogue. Our organisation has successfully launched the Tower of Songs (www.towerofsongs.at), a re-occurring monthly concert series that hosts national and international musicians. It has also initiated the internationale art project See the Big Picture (www.see-the-big-picture.com), which has already been exhibited various times in Austria, Slovenia and the Ukraine. The goal of See the Big Pictureis to collect paintings from every country in the world, no matter if professional or not, which together form one ‘big picture’. Apart from its cultural activities Art Mine has hosted and participated in Erasmus+ mobilities in Key Action 1, such as Youth Exchanges, and has had three participants from European Voluntary Service so far. We organize cultural and educational projects and events to address diversity but also to contribute to the development of rural areas and give all interested groups a chance to get involved.

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

Art Mine organizes a room in a shared flat in Trofaiach to secure the social needs of the volunteer. Upon your arrival in Austria, we offer to collect you from the train station in Leoben or from the airport in Vienna, depending on your arrival time. Volunteers receive a monthly food allowance as well as a monthly bus ticket according the programme guidelines. Moreover, Art Mine arranges social- and leisure time activities (e.g. day trip to Vienna/Graz).
